Drs. Michael and Mary Eades first published "Protein Power" in 1996. The diet is low in carbohydrates, and high in proteins and fats. This diet seems similar to the Atkins Diet, but has many differences. An updated version of Protein Power came out in 2009.
The diet contains restricted levels of carbohydrates, and has more protein than the average Western diet.
Health Benefits
General health will improve due to lower blood pressure and cholesterol from this diet, and it also helps in reducing insulin levels. The good thing about Protein Power is that it is not too extreme.
