Dr. Dean Ornish wrote a book called "Eat More, Weigh Less". It is a vegetarian diet.
The only dairies allowed are fat-free cheeses, fat-free yogurt, milk, and egg whites. Foods such as seeds, avocados, nuts, all fats, oils, and refined carbohydrates are not allowed.

The diets, which are restrictive, are difficult to follow. Removing nuts, fish and seeds cuts the source of Essential Fatty Acids such as Omega 3.
