Ray Audette wrote "Neanderthin: Eat Like a Caveman to Achieve a Lean, Strong, Healthy Body". In this diet plan, only food that was available in the Paleolithic age, and is edible in it's raw state, should be eaten.
The Neanderthin Diet Plan
On this diet, fruits and vegetables are allowed, along with honey (in small amounts). Dairy is not allowed. There is no calorie counting or portion control. Grains (wheat, oats, barley, rye, etc.) are forbidden, as are all refined carbohydrates and sugars.
Paleolithic Diets
The success of the Neanderthin Diet, and other Paleo-diets has to do with the removal of refined foods from the diet. The sad thing is, that in modern society, healthy fruits and vegetables are very expensive as compared to their processed counterparts.
