The late Stanley Burroughs wrote the Lemonade Diet. The diet called "The Master Cleanser" was written in the 1940s.
The Lemonade Diet Sample
- 12 tbsp. Freshly Squeezed Organic Lemon Juice
- 60 oz. Spring Water, per day
- 12 tbsp. Organic Grade B Maple Syrup
- A little over half a tsp. of Cayenne Pepper
Laxative tea ("Smooth Move") is taken twice a day, and a saline (sea salt) wash.
The Master Cleanser
This is strictly a cleansing diet and most of the weight loss will be in the form of fluid and water. The book states that half of the weight will come back after completing the diet. The Lemonade Diet is difficult to follow because we are addicted to food. Success levels vary from person to person. Some people take the Lemonade Diet for 4-5 days.
