The most famous short-term fad diet today is the 3 Day Diet. After trying this diet, many people experienced short-term weight loss but they regained the weight.
The 3 Day Diet includes following a low calorie meal plan. Portions must be eaten exactly as specified and dieters are warned not to overeat. Weight loss is likely due to fluid loss and not the more desirable fat loss.

• Green Beans instead of Broccoli or Cauliflower
• Beets instead of Carrots
• Toast instead of (5) Crackers (and vice versa)
